In the clip i have chosen which is the conjuring the setting begins with a large family moving into a house but we all know what that really means, it connotes that they are moving into a haunted house. Another setting in the conjuring is the basement. That also connotes in horror movies that something bad and scary has happened in there.

In the clip i have chosen almost all the props have a connotation. The first one is a old looking wardrobe. It connotes that it has something evil inside. Another one is a cross. The cross connotes that is a religious symbol and it is to stop something bad from happening.
Hair/make-ups:
Long black hair- white dresses
Possessions- Eyes, scars, dirt
In the clip i have chosen the women that is possessed looks like a tramp with messy hair, pale skin and devilish eyes.
Facial expression/body language/movement:
Wide eyes
Slow movements
Lighting and colour:
eerie colours
The lighting in the clip ihave chosen connotes that something evil is going to happen and when it happens nothing will be able to stop it.
Setting:
In this image this shows the new family entering their new home thinking its a dream house. It also shows natural light from the sky which is all bright connoting it must be a good house but we know its not. It also shows the children looking happy thinking this is the home for them. This could probably connote that the children have had bad experiences with a home but now they have finally found the one for them.
Props:
In this still this demonstrates the use of how props make the scene eerie. In this scene the wardrobe magically opens then popping out of the wardrobe is a pair of hands clapping which relates to the game they're playing.
Lighting:
In this scene it shows the haunted house in a dark mysterious light which automatically connotes to the audience that this house is going to be haunted. Also its got dead trees around the house with dead branches that connotes that its a dead kind of area and people die.
Just looking at the house you can see that their is no house around which connotes that it has been isolated and left alone for a reason.
